As of inking this comic, Bees has also started: eating my hair, sleeping on my back, and perching on my arm while I draw. It’s half the fact that I’m sitting in her favourite seat and half the fact that I’m not paying attention to her. If I pay attention to her, she gets bored and sleeps on her post.
In the end, only the onions are struggling. At the time I scanned this, I had just repotted the basil into a larger container and planted new onions to replace the struggling ones. The parsley don’t even give a shit.
Usually we keep Bees in the bedroom with a bunch of toys and her scratching post when we’re running errands, but she had behaved this particular day and she hadn’t shown any prior interest in the plants. We stick to the bedroom routine now.
Apparently it didn’t hurt as much as we thought it had because she immediately went back to playing around. There wasn’t even a limp. We were very careful with her and we had her checked out, but everything was fine.
This was one of the most horrifying things that has happened to her so far. Bees has a habit of rotating when she’s happy but this time, she had her foreleg stuck under the pillow she had rolled off of. Her arm swiveled right behind her.
We used to have a futon box as a table, which I hated because it was so high and you couldn’t see our TV around it. The TV lived on the coffee table. Now that we have a hand-me-down entertainment center, the coffee table has taken its rightful place in front of the couch.
